Mt. Jinggang

    History changes for thousands of years. The green mountains and clear rivers never change, whereas, strong revolutionary spirits accumulate as time goes by. Mt. Jinggang, the first rural revolutionary base, has great significance in the annals of modern Chinese history, whereas, its natural scenery is also wonderful and attractive.

    Welcome to the main peak of Mt. Jinggang -- Five-Fingers (Wuzhi) Peak.

    It is located in the southwest of Ciping. It is 1586 meters above sealevel. Five-Fingers Peak is the national nature reserve, and it is the kingdom of natural plants and animals. Exotic trees and flowers, together with rare Birds and animals can be seen anywhere. Nowadays, Five-Fingers Peak has become the symbol of Mt. Jinggang.

    Now, we have entered the tunnel of the main peak, which is called "God of Wealth Tunnel". The end of this tunnel is the Sightseeing Platform, which is the best view point for seeing the majestic appearance of Five-Fingers (Wuzhi) Peak. My friends, we have reached the platform. Please get off the car in order. In front of us is the Five-Fingers (Wuzhi) Peak. There are five peaks standing tall and upright side by side. Please stretch out your right hand, and clench your fist like me. Does the Five-Fingers (Wuzhi) Peak resembles your fist? Yes, hence its name. Please observe it more carefully and think about what does it look like? Yes, it looks like a man's head. According to the legend, it is the personification of God of Wealth, so the Five-Fingers (Wuzhi) Peak looks like the head of God of Wealth, who lies on his side. He faces the left side with his chin towards right side. It comes the forehead, eyebrows, long nose and thick lips from left to right. If we look it vertically, it presents us a figure of God of Wealth with a gold ingot in his hand.

    When our former Premier Zhu Rongji visited Sightseeing Platform in 1991, he pointed to the Five-Fingers (Wuzhi) Peak and said with smile "This is the most valuable mountain in our country." It is the background pattern for one-hundred-yuan bills designed in 1980, so our Premier said so. If any of you have this blue one-hundred-yuan bill, you can take out and make a comparison, and you will find it is exactly the same.     現(xiàn)在我們已經(jīng)進(jìn)入主峰隧道，當(dāng)?shù)厝私兴?lsquo;財神隧道’，隧道的盡頭就是觀賞五指峰的最佳地點(diǎn)---觀幣臺。好，各位游客，觀幣臺到了，請大家按順序下車。大家看到的就是五指峰了，五座山峰并排挨著，現(xiàn)在請大家伸出右手，像我這樣，手掌緊握，看看五座山峰像不像您的拳頭？對，這就是名字的由來。現(xiàn)在大家再仔細(xì)的觀察一下，看看它還像什么？對，是人頭。它非常像一個人的頭，傳說他是財神爺?shù)幕恚晕逯阜蹇瓷先ハ褙斏駹敊M臥時的頭像。頭朝左，下巴朝右，從左到右依次是財神爺?shù)念~頭，眉，長長的鼻子，厚厚的嘴唇。豎著看，就是財神爺手拿金元寶的形象。

    1991年當(dāng)時任國家總理的朱镕基來到觀幣臺，指著五指峰，笑著對大家說；這是全國最值錢的一座山。因?yàn)檫@座五指峰是80版的百元大鈔背景圖案，如果哪位游客有這張藍(lán)色百元大鈔，可拿出來對比一下，絲毫不差。好，各位游客，一定要與財神爺照張相，把財氣帶回家。好了，各位游客，五指峰之旅到此就結(jié)束了，歡迎下次光臨，再見。
